esmith818
Two of my new year's resolutions this year were to read the entire Bible and Catechism this year. In addition, I am trying to keep to a regular schedule of jotting down my thoughts or observations in a blog if anyone cares to critique me should I go astray of Catholic teaching! I also read with great amusement someone's entry from April 2006 on this thread which claimed they were reading the Imitation of Christ and "enjoying it immensely." Either they were reading a forgery, or they were being quite sarcastic as I don't recall anything enjoyable about that book other than the discussions my friends and I had about how unworthy we are! If anyone is looking for some good fiction, you should check out deWohl and O'Brien. I was introduced to deWohl by reading The Restless Flame, which is historical fiction about the life of St Augustine. My personal favorite by him is The Spear which follows the last days of Christ from the Centurion's point of view -- a great book to read during Lent! Moosey
Just finished "The Great Divorce"- C.S. Lewis. I would definitely recommend reading this one. Amazingly insightful and downright crazy! I loved it. About to start "The Space Trilogy"- C.S. Lewis. I heard it was amazing and I don't doubt it when it comes to Lewis.

Deb
I just finished "Reflections on the Psalms" by C.S. Lewis. My pastor recommended it. A great read. Now, have to read his others too. My pastor also suggested I start reading Chesterton. I bought "Orthodoxy" so will give that one a shot.
