melporcristo
I am reading Saint Gianna Beretta Molla: A Woman's Life by Giuliana Pelucchi about St. Gianna who was canonized in 2004. She refused to have an abortion when she was pregnant. The doctors said in return she would die after giving birth to the baby. Amazing life, amazing woman! Tindomiel
I actually never had much of an appreciation for him until a few months ago, but he is quickly becoming one of my favorites too. His "Summa" is sublime reading.
franciscanheart
His "Summa" is sublime reading.
I couldn't agree more. (All of his material is sublime in my mind.) He was so brilliant. God really blessed him! I think he is often forgotten (or not fully appreciated) by those who do not go on to study theology at a higher level (get a degree in it). He's known for his works but a lot of people don't understand how holy his life was and how beautiful his writings REALLY are. (If you've not read his biography, you should. It only makes his works all the more powerful.) The man was (and is) amazing. Gosh... I love Saint Thomas Aquinas.
