There was no question about hotdish, so I refuse to speculate... [/quote] 33% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee. Look at that... four years later and I'm even less dixie. Cherie
Wow, y'all - 45% Dixie, "Barely in Yankeedom" I s'pose all those years of livin' in the Deep South have made their mark on me! But I'm glad, I actually like the South... though I always told the Sisters I was a "Yankee through and through"! God-willin' and the Creek don't rise, I'll be taking another move below the Mason Dixon line, when my husband gets his official job offer (hopefully very soon!) Maybe I'm meant to be a Southern belle after all?!?

IgnatiusofLoyola
20% Dixie. Wow! You are a Duke of Yankeedom! I'm surprised I'm even 20% Dixie. My roots (rhymes with "boots") go no further south than Northern Indiana. What DID surprise me is that most of my answers said Great Lakes, or even more specifically Chicago. I like to think I have no accent at all. But, I guess my years in the Midwest are showing. Edited May 22, 2010 by IgnatiusofLoyola

Hilde
Is this God's way of telling me I should go to..um..Nashville? I still don't have any explanation for my results.
Groo the Wanderer
54% Dixie. Barely in Dixie The remainder mainly show a heavy NE influence which is so sad. I lived in Reno, NV until I was seven then finally hightailed it to TX. Must be a boatload of yankees in my family negatively influencing my speech patterns... CatherineM
49% Dixie with a bit of Yankee. Since my mom was a Southern Belle, and my Dad was a New Yorker, I guess that is just about right.
