goldbug16
That was a bit harsh Keyser Soze. I really have to agree with you though.
Keyser Soze
People that make idiotic comments like that, deserve harsh. It's the only way to get through to someone like that. What he said was ignorant.

Aloysius
I bet President Bush knows how to spell presidency better than the fellow calling him a "child".
OverheadNite
I don't lile president Bush. I also didn't like President Clinton. We should give this government back to God the Father Almighty like it should be.
jiyoung
I don't think Bush is perfect, but he's a heck of a lot better than the alternatives. And while "lesser evil" isn't a good policy, it's all we've got here.

Aloysius
just like a modernist english speaker... Dan was using an archaic spelling of the word, which was probably taught to him in school or by his parents. The Oxford English Dictionary lists "potatoe" as a variant spelling of the word. But you can blame him for his educational background just as irrationally as you can blame Bush for his accent, I suppose. "presdency", however, is not an acceptable spelling in any century or educational background. I make a point of it to always spell "potatoe" with the e, because otherwise that o at the end should be pronounced softly by the rules of english pronunciation. The e should be placed there, and I will always place it there.
MichaelFilo
He's not a mainstream Republican, just like his father. Reagen's statement "the government that governs best, governs least" is the ideal of the old stock Republician who has some libertine sensibilities, who wants no massive welfare state, nor a country whose main costs is a gigantic military budget. Bush senior and junior are both not of that type of Republican. Reagen preached it, but didn't put it into action (he made the deficiet sore as high as the sky). The very evident domestic policy of Bush, "no child left behind", the Patriot act, etc are all federal government hands on type of governing. Democrats do that, Republicans ought to lead the country, not increase the federal government's already broad role in society. God bless, Mikey
