Hi Everyone,

I want share with you some news a recieved about 10 minutes ago. The Fraser Family Foundation has approved my grant application!! So the my student loan debt will be covered!!

Alleluia!!!!

Now, I still not out of the woods yet but my friend who is a professional fundraiser is helping me to raise the rest of my non-student debt. It is happening!! I am still in shock but as my friend said God wants you to go!!

I sent the news to Fr. Winston, OP who is here in Ottawa and whos has been a wonderful support to me. He said to me besides his "I told you so" "Do you still doubt? As Christ Himself said to Thomas: "Doubt no longer but believe" Hmm where have I heard that before

He is right because it the last little I was feeling a overwhelmed and I thought is this going to happen?
Thanks be God and thanks to St. Anthony. I attended St. Anthony yesterday and I asked for a miracle for help in my debts.

I believe there is more in store for me.

Thanks for prayers,

DM

Saint Anthony, you are glorious for your miracles and for the condescension of Jesus who came as a little child to lie in your arms.

As a pledge of my gratitude, I promise to live more faithfully in accordance with the teachings of the church, and to be devoted to the service of the poor whom you loved and still love so greatly. Bless this resolution of min that I may be faithful to it until death.

Saint Anthony, consoler of all the afflicted, pray for me.
Saint Anthony, helper of all who invoke you, pray for me.
Saint Anthony, whom the Infant Jesus loved and honored so much, pray for me. Amen

It's funny you mention that, because I have been trying to find the contact information for that Foundation, because I too...am wondering...will I get this debt paid off??? Yes its overwhelming me too. So could you give me the information as to what I need to do or who to contact or the website??? That would be great. Thank you!!

God Bless and CONGRADS,

Ali

In 5 years when I enter the Major Seminary and have debts from college seminary as I am responsibel for my tuition, will this foundation help me to become debt free? When would I apply for assitance from them?

Yours in Christ,

Ed L.

I am not quite sure but I would look over their website for details. There are terms to this grant and one of them is if I leave the monastery, the payment of the loans return to me. As well, the community must be approved by the foundation. They will consider candidates from orders in obedience to church teaching.

They use the communities members of the IRL and CMSWR as guides. In my case the Dominican Nuns in Buffalo weren't members of either group so they had to be approved. I laughed when I spoke to the VD about the approval. They know the Director of the IRL Fr. Nelson because when the Norbertine nuns were beginning, Fr. Nelson sent them to the Buffalo help them learn the monastic life. I said to the VD what better reference could you ask for than that!!
