My suggestion is that you tell them essentially what you've said here--very simply and directly, and then, I'm sure Mother or the VD with whom you speak will take it from there. Don't fret about it, remember these are Benedictines and their spirit of hospitality rules the day!

I know the phamily will provide you with lots of prayer support, so go for it!

What a great letter you received. Being prayed for by nuns is awesome, especially when they are praying for you 'in a special way'.

I don't know why you shouldn't call. Don't worry about what to say, she will no doubt lead the conversation.
