Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
Dan Brown, You Gravley slandered the Church, and caused many to doubt their faith (including myself) because of your books the Da Vinci Code. In the book, you slandered the Holy and Immaculate Bride of Christ. Your book also slandered the teachings of the church, Holy Saint Mary of Magdala, and Opus Dei. Becuase of this we burn your book. We must not let it fall into the hands of those who may believe it to be true. Please Repent from your most griveous sins, and Convert to the True Church! Myles Domini
Young sir, some advice from a sinful youth...Stop directing your aggression outwards. It is not the way. Dan Brown's deception has had a negative impact upon Christianity true but your comments about him are overboard. I'm not saying we should support him actually I told my friends today that I would not go with them to see the movie of his book because I didnt want to give my money to the franchise he's made out of demonising Catholicism. Nonetheless, your constant outbursts of anger against Brown, Jews et al. illustrate young fellow that you have yet to discover the heart of Christianity. The love of God does not bare evil but the love of God does bring peace inwardly in the face of evil. Your angry remarks do not radiate the peace of Christ to those who hear you. The love of God should warm you inside and fill you with joy so that you can pity unbelievers and in your pity strive to correct them--sometimes gently, sometimes forcefully but always without malice or self-satisfaction. Please examine yourself today and ask yourself if knowing the Truth (Christ) is more important to you than knowing that you have the Truth. The two are related but they are not the same thing. Ask yourself honestly if knowing that you have the truth has become more important to you than getting acquainted with the Truth personally in your inward being and whether or not being in posession of right religion has made you haughty and proud. It is good that God has drawn you to the truth, treasure it, be grateful for it. Dont spend so much time trying to crush heretics that you leave no time to sit in silent awe and wonder at the mystery that the infinite God has breached an incomprehensible gap and bent the heavens to be with you, a mere creature of limited lifespan and being. Spend sometime contemplating passages like Psalm 8:3-5; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:16; 2 Peter 1:4 and dwell on the great gift you have been given. Let such things fill your mind rather than detestation of others. Hating your enemy yields no reward. Rather it merely clouds your mind until even the light of God's gifts cannot penetrate the consuming darkness. MC IMaGiNaZUN
When you Crucify and persecute Christ, Christ WILL as a result Return Gloriously Triumphant. When you persecute and humiliate the Church, She will only be Victorious in Faith. The Church is Christ's Body, and WILL fulfill the same promise of Resurrection. When Dan Brown crowns the Church with Thorns, HE FAILS TO REALIZE SHE WILL THUS ATTAIN THE IMPERISHABLE CROWN, NOT OF SILVER OR GOLD, BUT OF LIFE IMMORTAL. The blood of the martyrs are the seeds of faith. It is at this time, when the CHURCH is hated, slandered, humiliated, rebuked, with liberalism, heresy, blasphemers, lukewarm sunday catholics, dissenters, corrupt politicians, hypocrites, child molestors... It is this time, when the Church is laid into the tomb by the world who seeks to destroy her... That she will be Resurrected like never before. I am the Resurrection says Jesus Christ, and we Share in that Resurrection here and now. Bring it on Dan Brown, Lets show him what the RESURRECTION is all about!!! Read the guidelines[/mod]
I'd actually pray for him. I don't know a whole lot about his past. I strongly dislike his book "The Da Vinci Code", but I don't want to bad mouth the man because it won't benefit anybody. In reality, what will happen is that you'll make yourself so angry that you hurt your own relationship with God. Despite Dan Brown's convictions, he is still a human being and God loves him regardless. Edited April 22, 2006 by Lil Red

Guest T-Bone
Dan Brown=author of fiction?
Not if you ask him. He beleives that the events behind his "novel" are true. (Not the murders and adventure, but all the garbage that the "evil Catholic Church" tried to cover up.) Thy Geekdom Come
As much as I dislike the things Dan Brown has written, the whole point of this thread completely misses the point of Christian life. How will we correct the errors of Dan Brown if we ourselves do not follow Christ? I move that this thread be closed.

This includes, but is not limited to, calling people "heretics" (used in a derogatory manner), "democrooks", etc. "Never reprimand anyone while you feel provoked over a fault that has been committed.
