So, no big driving across the country tours of Canada this summer, then, eh?

Bummer. It's supposed to get up to $3 a gallon here by the end of the summer... while not as bad as Canada, still stinks. :(

In general, I have the impression that Americans drive morethan Canadiens. Simply because in general Americans live in larger cities and are thus forced to commute further to go to work and such.

I walk to work to myself. :D:

I think we drive more because we are more spread out. You can't get anywhere without driving.

But our cities aren't exactly small. Not huge or anything, but Edmonton and area has a population around 3 million.

But wwe only have a handfull of 'big cities' and region. And when we travel far, generally, its because we have something 'special' to do that is outside our routine.

BRING IT ON!!!

I walk to work!

My wife's work is on the next block from our house.

The church is a 15 minute walk away.

You can drive from one end to the other of my town in less than 2 kilometers!

(We drive back and forth to Timmins, a neighboring town 105 kilometers away once or twice a week though, but lets just disreguard that for now shall we).

I'm paying around $2.69 for diesel but my car gets 40 mpg to compared to a gas engine I'm paying the equivalent of $1.50. :P:
