dspen2005
a fellow pmer went to an Easter Vigil Mass and the priest, first called all of the confirmandi to the altar prior to the consecration. Then during the consecration, the priest said, "for all men and women" in the place of the 'pro multis'. now, in Rite, if the consecration of the wine is altered, yet the consecration of the bread is done according to the language in the Sacramentary, is the entire Eucharist invalid? qfnol31
I think it only needs "Hoc est enim Corpus Meum" and "Hic est Calix Sanguinis Mei," but beyond those I'm not sure.

MichaelFilo
Yes... if it is Christ's Body, then it is Christ's body... The words must be said, the priest must be valid, his intent must be right, the matter must be right, and thats that. 4 requirements. Not receiving is a more serious abuse... but since it has already been changed into Christ's Body and Blood, worry not, it cannot be unchanged.
