It was pretty out of place. If the intention wasn't to be funny the I don't think you should have posted something like that. :ohno:

Wow, that's great!

My dad is a non-practicing Presbyterian and has been VERY stubborn about converting to the Catholic Church. Mom has been working on him for 26 years.

But since I've announced my vocation to the entire family, he's given me his blessings and is even starting to finally inquire about the faith. We even got him to go to mass with us on Holy Thursday and the Easter Vigil (he was at work on Good Friday and couldn't get away, and then we couldnt get him awake in time to make it to our normal 7:45 mass on Easter Sunday- but hey, its progress). We're taking it slow, you know baby steps so he doesnt dig his feet in.

He's a very technical person, and the deacon at our parish is a retired engineer who's VERY technical and they're becoming fast friends. I pray that the Lord will continue to soften his heart and use us his family and Deacon Ed to bring him into communion with the one true Church.

Prayers and blessings for you and your family!

Well, been going to Mass with my mother for about 26 years. At first it was off and on but when we were making our First Communion she was like "No. We're not going to do the half Priotestant half Catholic thing" So she's been working on him ever since. But about 5 years ago, the parish near here got a new preist. Things were good at that parish but they started to get ... a little ... a akward. After that another preist came and well.. the place is no longer Catholic. In name it is, but the place is a mess and it needs lots and lots of prayers for a good, strong preist. Over 100 people left the Church completely.
We now travel 60-90 miles to Mass and I think that seeing how much our Faith means to us has helped. And during this time a lot of horrible stuff happened in our family so that had something to do with it too.
And LOTS and LOTS of prayers
