EcceNovaFacioOmni
My class took a test that very few people finished. The instructer gave us more time later. Was it OK for me and mostly everybody else to look up how to do certain problems so that we could fix them during the extra time? Wouldn't you think a teacher expects this when giving more time for a test?

I think that the first thing in deciding if this was the right thing to do, is to look at how you worded the title of your question. It is not appropriate for me to pronounce something a sin or not, since it is not crystal clear and I am not ordained. Personally, I don't think that it was right for your classmates (and you) "fix" your problems after you had turned in your work, UNLESS it was explicitly stated that you could go back. If it was not, I think that the honest thing to do would have been to leave the problems that you had completed and to simply move forward with the testing. It was not, in my estimation a problem to continue to study for those things which you had NOT completed. That is totally acceptable. What I would do, if I were in your situation is approach your priest in the confessional, confess it and if he deems it to be a sin, he will give you suitable counsel, a penance and aboslution. Hope this helps.
