These abuses are worse than even the worst I've seen before, and I've seen a lot. Are you sure it was pita bread? They could have made their own communion bread, and it might have looked like pita bread.

It was supermarket pita bread. :sadder:

And Mary-Kathryn...I very rarely go there, the Masses there on Mondays aren't like this. I normally go over to the Cathedral :)
I was stunned. She is great, but I am sorry if you are the Catholic youth minister you should at least appear to promote what the church teaches.
even when i didn't agree with the Church's teachings, i still taught them. must be an inner moral courage thing ;)

Like, From a plastic bag with a Greek flag on it super market pita bread?
Wow

Hey....don't ever go back there.....Please..... having one more person is only incentive for them to keep continuing the service.

If you ask me though it does not sound like it is Catholic. <_< ....was the "peace pipe" passed around too? Was there a guru? Did the incense smell "funny"? Was everyone just a little too happy?

LOL, there wan't any incense.....at least, not as far as I could tell. ;)

A group of us are starting up a group to respond to this - we've set up a Mass on Wednesdays, same time as them....but with pews, a priest (in vestments) Gospel read by the priest, kneeling, the proper consecration, and altar breads......hehe. :D:

DemonSlayer
This Mass I once went to, the priest used a bread roll from a bakery for the Eucharist.

We also then passed it around and tore a piece off, I can't remember if they were consecrated beforehand or while we held them in our hands.
