sweetpea316
Hahaha... well, I've lived in Texas my whole life, but my parents are from Minnesota and Wisconsin. So I can totally relate to both sides. As much as I love Texas, I can't wait to go back and visit all my family up north this summer!
franciscanheart
I personal like the northern look, like New York, Chicago, the big high fashion cityies but the cowboy look is okay if you're going to a costume party!
That's the great thing about Texas. There is something for everyone. The ranchers wear the 'cowboy' stuff while most in the big cities (Dallas, Houston) wear the 'big high fashion' stuff. We actually do have 'trendy' shops and places around in the bigger cities but we have the good homey feel in a lot of our smaller towns too. We have the best of both worlds. God bless Texas! I wasn't calling you snobby!!! earlier in my post, I said I don't know why I think that, and don't take it the wrong way for some reason north accents remind me of snobby ppl. I don't think your snobby! Yess I love scottish accents. BonnieLass
A Texan looked up at the top of a tall building and discovered a man ready to jump! "Stop," he yelled, "Remember you're someone who has value!" The man yelled back, "I just lost everything of value in the stock market!" "But remember you're important to your wife," yelled the Texan. "She divorced me, the beesh." "Your children! Remember your children," yelled the Texan. "They never call," said the man. "Then your parents. Remember your parents," yelled the Texan. "Dead as doornails," said the man. "Then 'Remember the Alamo'," yelled the Texan. "What's the Alamo?" inquired the man. And the Texan replied: "Jump, you Yankee son of a beesh!" LOL!!! i have to help out my half home state Edited April 19, 2006 by BonnieLass
