Guest d41k57
Dear all, It has troubled me in recent years that in many western democracies religion as a back bone and guardian of society is being shunned. Many governments insulate themselves in the separation of church and state doctrine. BUT is it moral to vote in a system where the law of the good lord cannot be ratified (sep of church and state) and in its place laws promoting and protecting sin are inshrined? If the word of God cannot be heard then is it moral to take part, surely in order to live in Jesus's love one must abstain from such a system and devote their life entirely to God's law. God bless, Simon
Era Might
Religious freedom, in turn, which men demand as necessary to fulfill their duty to worship God, has to do with immunity from coercion in civil society. Therefore [this Council] leaves untouched traditional Catholic doctrine on the moral duty of men and societies toward the true religion and toward the one Church of Christ. --Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, "Dignitatis Humanae"
