I downloaded and installed (without messing anything up) Linux. Add that to my Dvorak keyboard and my chemistry nerdiness... I am the king of nerds.

I tried to install and run linux on my computer and I failed. :(

I suppose I'm not really a nerd, just a wannabe nerd.

Linux doesn't like some hardware.

I can't stand the way the font looks, nothing is WYSIWYG... the screen does not look like the print out.

I like to call it Linsux

It's like a rough draft of a good OS... it looks unfinished and unpolished.

But if Microsoft goes "rentware" with Vista, then I might just migrate to Linux because it shold be well enough by then.

It does what Windows does...pretty much.

It wasn't my hardware that was the problem, I was trying to install and boot from an external harddrive, and that makes things tricky.

It isn't the best OS, I would take over Mac any day. I would also take Word over OpenOffice.org's Writer. The spell and grammar check in Word make OpenOffice look like Notepad.exe (not that there is anything wrong with that).

It is an intresting OS, I like the looks of it but I am by far and away more used to and more comfortable with Windows.

Um, have you used Linux in this millenium? How many years ago did you try it?
