jswranch
During an Inter-Faith discussion, my Mormon buddy drew a line in the sand. I accepted. He mentioned the LDS dogma about entirely reading The Book of Mormon (TBM): "Those who pursue this course [reading the TBM after asking God to show its truth and pondering it in their hearts] and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (TBM Moroni10:3-5) He told me that if I did the above and explained to him how the TBM was not true, he would become Catholic. I accepted his Pespi challenge. Keep me in your prayers and I will keep you posted.

HisChild
Didn't some mormons, at one time, buy a lot of stock in pepsi? I know a lot of my mormon friends (Ugh I live in AZ, seemingly second to UT in mormon population) now drink soda; one mentioned it's still not 'good for you' but that they are now able to drink it because of their support for pepsi. Not sure how true that is. . .because if they're still so against drinking soda. . . then why would they buy stock in it? Edit: Jswranch, prayers for you, to be sure. Hail Mary, full of grace. . . . Paphnutius
It is called the Pepsi challange because Pepsi would be at stadium and the like and would challange people to take a drink from two cups without being told which was which. After they said which one was better they revealed that it was like Diet Pepsi or something. Regardless, it was the Pepsi Challange because they were challanging you to take a risk to see which one is better.
HisChild
Well, that was the original Pepsi challenge. . .LOL I always ticked off the Pepsi guys and got banned from taking their challenges. . .I chose Coke. photosynthesis
be careful. it sounds like your friend is trying to convert you too... I'd read it, but make sure to guard your mind from error too. Maybe it would be good to consult a Catholic book about Mormonism at the same time?
Theoketos
Read a Catholic Commentary on the book as well.
peach_cube
I tried taking the challenge, but the book of Mormon was just too boring for me. I couldn't help thinking that it was all made up b.s.

Now's it's o.k. to drink Pepsi- no other sodas though. Hmmm
