I tried to pm you, but your box was full, and I lost the other thread, so I'll just ask here:

Hey,

I know nothing anyone says will convince you to another position, but I have a question for you,

Why are you in the normal confirmation program? In our area, if you are 15, you are to be taking RCIA for your confirmation because you are nearer to being an adult, and therefore should be catechized with adults, not with 12 year olds.

Maybe you should look into this before doing anything radical (if you haven't already).

i believe the reason you can't PM him is because of his title. PM is fobidden in PM if you have that title.

In our diocese, they are just starting to switch to confirming earlier. . . confirmation WAS for those 17, but they are lowering the age each year, until they get to their 'goal' confirmation age.

liberalism yes

lies yes

heresy yes

NAB is from the USCCB so i would say no

this is the culture of death. yes we all know this.

but i know you are smart enough to determine which is good for your faith and which isn't

Extra ecclesiam nulla salus

its a horrible translation.

here is what Jimmy Akin said about it:
The third problem is that I just think the NAB is a lousy translation. There was a period in which I would tense up at Mass every day, worried about what the NAB would get wrong today. There are so many squishy, tone-deaf, and way-beyond-the-text translations in the NAB that anyone with a knowledge of the Greek and Hebrew has to cringe when it's read at Mass.
the link is a critical study of the NAB.
