Era Might
Don't worry, it's Anglican. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/28/nyregion...gin&oref=slogin
Outside the church, in a neighborhood where parishioners march to protest drug dealing and prostitution, an 11-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy passed out Mass cards, inviting passers-by to the afternoon service featuring raps and backbeat accompaniments to Scripture. The cards had the Lord's Prayer and a hip-hop version of the 23rd Psalm. It read: "The Lord is all that, I need for nothing. He allows me to chill."
That is, how you say, "whack"... dUSt
That's lame. When one allows hip-hop to influence the church (like in the above story), it is bad. We must do the exact opposite, and influence hip-hop with the church. Phatmass uses hip-hop to promote a correct liturgy, not to influence the liturgy. I think there's a clear line that should never be crossed. I suppose that's what you get without a single, unified, earthly authority.

Nathan
This is a trend among some of the newer Protestant sects popping up. I'm surprised to see the Anglicans getting in on it -- although, not too surprised. The Church of England has been coming apart at the seams for a long time. Stuff like this just reaffirms my conviction that the Catholic Church is the one true Church, and it will only bring those Anglicans who are serious about their Christian faith home to Rome. One of the people in my RCIA group, an elderly gentleman from England who was a lifelong Anglican, has left the C of E for the Catholic Church because of this kind of thing. Sailahína
Thats wierd. There are a lot of youth masses that are up-beat but I've never seen hip-hop.
Peccator
They ordain practising homosexual men, their leader the "Archbishop" of Canterbury is also the head of the British Druids and a freemason (as is most of the Anglican "bishops")...honestly, nothing surprises me anymore with regards to the COE. ...to be expected when a church is founded on fornication an bigamy.
