Dude, your treading on Dangerous Waters. Please refrain from attacking the Popes. They are in a office created by Christ, Christ will set them straight if they have done wrong, not you. The gates of hell shall not prevail. No matter how a pope fails, the church will still be standing, remember that. I'm not saying the popes mentioned failed, i'm just saying There is no need to criticize them. They are in the highest office in the Church. God alone can judge them.
Wow, StThomasMoore, that was quite hateful what you said.

I can't believe he passed away a year ago! It seems like yesterday!
By the way, in the surename of the man why wrote "Utopia" there is only one "o".

I do agree, though, it really does seem like yesterday, and at the time I was crushed. I like BXVI much better tho.
What is this, Bring Your Trad Kids to the Phorum Day on phatmass? Good Dog Almighty. I'd say more but I don't have the energy.
you got a problem with Trad kids?
*Takes Tommy's gameboy away*

You're not getting this back for a while little mister!!
by the way, I dont have a gameboy, I spend the time I would be playing video games on the internet. And dont call me Tommy. You can call me StThomasMore, STM, Tyler, or even Thomas, but not Tommy.
Since you think he was so sinful, if you were a good christian you would be praying for him and the other popes you mentioned continuously 24 hours a day ....and yourself for judging the state of someone elses soul.
I suppose you don't like Mother Teresa either...
He wasnt "so" sinful. It's not like I think he had a sinful life, I just think he made MANY mistakes. I dont have time to pray 24/7 for him. Once a week is how often I pray for my relatives, and my favourite people from history, so I think you should think it an honor that I have JPII on my "O God, I pray to Thee for the repose of the souls of ..." List.
I am just waiting to see if there is a canonization, to see if he will be obedient in this regard. idontknow.gif
If JPII is canonized, I'm sure the Holy Ghost will take him out of purgatory at the moment of his canonization.
I would not be a bit surprised if his beatification was announced soon.
Can I still pray for the repose of JPII is he's beatified. I've also been wondering if I should pray for J23.
Every super we end our family prayer by saying "God keep close to you John-Paul the Great".
Rome hasnt bestowed upon him that title yes. And why wasnt JPI equally as great? :P:
Careful, he might get mad at you if you call out the fact that he is a wee lad of 13.
I'm 12. I'll be 13 in the summer.
Don't call Tommy; Tommy. He get mad at that.....you know....Tommy doesn't like it. He sure isn't like Mikey. Mikey will eat anything.
please don't mock me. I respect you and I expect to get respect back.

You will get respect when you stop making statements that are so offensive, they get deleted by moderators and when you show respect.

Until then you're tommy. And you should get a time out

Brother Adam

Tommy,

The question goes to you as well... just how much do you know about John Paul II the Great? How much have you read of his writings? How much do you know about his life or even his pontificate and the accomplishments he has made? Or is it that all you know is what the schismatics are feeding you? If I were a Muslim and only read about Jesus from Muslims, I probably wouldn't think much of Jesus. I think it is time you stepped out of your box.
does phatmass have any policy on rad-trad 13 year olds like tommy?
Yes. From the Phorum Guidelines:
Catholic vs Catholic Debate

A post or comment that results in doctrinal debates that might cause scandal among the faithful. *Effective immediately, any negative criticism of the current Magisterium will result in deletion, and a warning from the moderators. This includes but is not limited to criticism of the Novus Ordo mass and/or our Holy Father.
Rome doesn't. Leo the Great was called so by the Faithful long before he was known so in Vatican history books. So if the Faithful start calling him "the Great," it'll stick. And I'd say he deserves it. He did a lot in his pontificate.

We tell him the truth like we would anyone else, with an attempt at a little more patience because of his age.

But have you read him? And "the Great" is a title of the "sense of the faithful" as it always is. John Paul the Great is a great man of God, and it would do you good to read his writings, it would give you a new appreciation for the faith that you have abandoned for schism.

And by the way, I believe you profane the name of St. Thomas More, as with that schimatic mind of yours you had anything in common with him. I imagine he would give you quite the tongue lashing had you the chance to meet him today.

I certainly will. He and Pope Pius XII are probably the greatest popes since St Pius V.
Since you haven't read his writings or his Wednesday audiences you are not qualified to make a judgement on this.
