Confession Poll

Hey guys, that last confession poll made me curious about this, how often do the other PMers go?

PS: there was a Penance service at my church tonight.

I usually go every week or every two weeks.

Every 2 weeks for me, the longest I wait is a month. I need the grace.

Generally at least once a month: it's really hard to get to confession in my Parish; they only have it on Saturday afternoons or by appointment. Often the priest doesn't even show up for those. But our new priest (Padre Paulo) now hears confession before every Mass and he says our Mass once every three weeks, so we go then.

I try to go once a week.

My school has confession every Friday, but I have to get out of certain classes and go. I usually go on Saturday afternoon. I think thats plently of opportunity.

I typically try to go at least every month on the first saturday if possible at a minimum. Lately I have been going weekly.

I try to go every other week. Sometimes it's closer to a month, sometimes it's every week. After about three weeks I start to really feel the need for the grace of confession in my daily life, so going more than a month makes me not a very nice person!

I was going once a month, with my spiritual director. He's off gallivanting in Rome, so I will have to go to my parish, which is fine, but I would say, once a month. I want to go more frequently, and I'll have the chance to do so (in a month! ) once I enter the monastery.

I haven't been able to go for a while, firstly because of my pneumonia and then last week when I was going to go, there was a Funeral. This week, I'll be there! I like to go early because people usually all turn up in the last half hour or so. Going early means no one will hear you AND you give the priest something nice to do

i try to go at least one a month. but it nver works out. i haven't been since christmas. my family always discourages me from going, and its kind of hard to bring it up around my family. I really need to go.

I go when I need it. Sometimes, if I wait long enough, my venials start to weigh on me so I'll go anyway.

But I'm pretty much a saint so whatever.
