Those are some interesting picks, though I can tell you I am not a big fan of R&B and so not really liking van hunt. The other two, hayley and corinne have an interesting sound, but not something I am particularly fond of. Although, between the two, I would probably pick hayley over corinne.

Not a big fan of Laura Veirs? It is really hard to judge though based on the clips that they provide on itunes, but I really enjoy her sound. I also find myself listening to a lot of Imogen Heap. I am not a big fan of the Frou Frou CD, the Imogen Heap "Speak For Yourself" is amazing...even her old one is excellent, though it is definitely not as refined as "Speak For Yourself."

With regard to some of the most amazing songs from Grey's Anatomy, I would definitely cite Rosie Thomas and Devics as some really powerful musicians. Although, I have to admit, I also like the more Pop sounding KT Tunstall as well.

A large majority of my recent music purchases have been of the Indie genre, and I am really pleased with them. I think I finally found the genre I like the best :)

yeah, i like imogen heap, also rosie thomas and kt tunstall. i haven't listened to devics, though, so will have to do so. you should listen to the "broken flowers" soundtrack - it's simply brilliant! a lot of indie songs i have liked i found through woxy.com, you can get it through the radio on itunes.

I will have to check those out. I also forgot to mention that I have been listening to a woman by the name of Tristan Prettyman, she has a "coffee shop" kind of sound to her, but it is some really good music. There is one song with which she does a duet with Jason Mraz, which is OK, but I think it could have worked just as well without him. I also like a band I heard on Grey's Anatomy a while back called The Weepies, they are really good. Their one song "World Spins Madly On" has some really interesting but very poetic lyrics. Actually, the entire CD is very poetic, which is probably why I like it so much, being a poet and all :)

One CD I do regret buying, which I bough a while back, was The Fray, the more I listen to it, the more his whining really annoys me. Oh, and if you want something a little faster, upbeat, and has a kind of garage band sound to it, you should definitely check out The Gossip. I really enjoy them, especially their title track "Standing in the Way of Control."

I could just keep making more and more recommendations since my music preference has definitely turned drastically towards Indie. I am definitely glad I came across that playlist on iTunes for Grey's Anatomy, because it definitely opened the door to tons and tons of Indie music I really like.

Your welcome. Like I said, the majority of my iPod is filled with all new Indie bands that I have found. I could give you so many recommendations, but I am sure the ones I have given already would be sufficient :)

You are right, they are pretty good. I really like the first song, "Cold Feelings," the other ones don't sound as original and almost have a Bloc Party feel to them, which is not a bad thing, but they don't seem to pull it off as well imho.

Thanks for the recommendation though, and the cool website.

God Bless

Lil Red,

I found another playlist from iTunes for Grey's Anatomy which shares a song from my other favorite show, Alias, needless to say, I am now listening to the group "Umbrellas"

the local radio stations have been playing The Fray like crazy lately. i don't want people to burn out on such a good group - or their songs!

what's funny is that i don't really notice the songs during the show. i have to go look for the lyrics later to see what i missed. (really, i think that i miss out because i'm not able to focus on lyrics and the show. but oh well.)

so far, I haven't heard any songs I really really like this year :ohno:

The music was definitely better in seasons 1 and 2 then it is now.

I still can't hear "Breathe" without thinking of Meredith pulling the bomb out of that guy or "Grace" without thinking about Izzie in that prom dress before everything went to heck in a handbasket.

yeah - me too. there has not been a really defining music moment yet this season like the ones you described.

although the last song from thursday night's episode was really good.
