Era Might
? I don't sleepwalk, per se, but I do get up sometimes and I'm still really dreaming. Like I'll think there's some kind of creature in my bed, or someone's trying to kill me, and I'll jump out of the bed and turn the light on. Sometimes I'll even open the door to my room and stand outside it. It takes a few seconds before I realize that I'm dreaming, and I go right back to sleep. It's weird. I remember I did sleepwalk once when I was little. I went all the way up to the third floor apartment. I was friends with the people who lived there. My mother apparantly woke up and saw the door wide open. She had no idea how I got out. She was lucky I didn't open the front door and go outside! Moosey
I do I do. One time when I was at this 5 day retreat where we stayed in college dorms, I kept waking up in the hallway. It was wicked funny. There have been other instances, like when I woke up in Luthien's bed...while she was in it .

cmotherofpirl
My son used to sleepwalk when he was little. One night he got out of bed about 2AM, walked to the neighbors, rang the doorbell and asked if the little girl could come out to play - all while sound asleep. We put dead bolts on the doors after that.

My husband does stuff like this. For a long time I didn't realize he was still asleep -- I thought he was just really alert. Usually it happens after a sudden noise. Now I tell him what it was and that everything is okay, and he goes back to bed. I don't sleepwalk, though I guess I did when I was a child. I generally don't move much when I sleep... what with all the cats piled atop me. Though, the other day I did somehow manage to take my pajama top off while sleeping. I had a t-shirt on underneath, so no big deal, but it was really weird to wake up, look at myself, and think, "Where are my pajamas??"

OLAM Dad
When I was 11 I walked to a friend's house in my sleep. They lived about 3 blocks away. I knocked on their door at 2 am and scared the dickens out of them. They took me home realizing what was happening. They made sure that I went inside before leaving. The next morning my mother got a phone call and while she was on the phone she started looking at me oddly. I kind of knew something was up but it wasn't until she hung up and asked me what I remembered that I recalled anything at all. To this day I remember what happened. It's just like you would remember a very vivid dream. I don't sleep walk anymore but I do talk in my sleep (according to my wife).

Christie_M
MY sister use to sleep walk....once when she was sick, she got everyone up and was paniking that the house was going to collaps! Then went to sleep. Then she got up aging and woke mom up and asked for a ponytail....This is like, 3 in the morning! but everyone really talks in their sleep....or twitches thinking she is tripping over logs! Thy Geekdom Come
My high school psychology teacher (who actually had a masters in psych, unlike most high school teachers) tried to tell us how big a deal sleepwalking can be. He told us that he once had a patient who would get out of bed, get in the car, drive to McDonald's, order breakfast, pay for breakfast, take breakfast home, leave it on the table, go to bed, and wake up a few minutes later to the smell of coffee...she'd have no clue how the food got there.
