Welcome.

You're welcome to try the debate forum, but I suggest you enter with humility or it may be handed to you. ;)

Welcome to Phatmass, where there are always knowledgeable Catholics around willing to answer questions and debate with the finest.

Oh, and those of you in the first five rows, you will get wet!

Once you say that you have humility, you can be certain that you do not. ;)

Humility is a very funny thing that way.

Don't dwell on whether you are humble...that's a snare of the devil...instead, ask how you can convert yourself more and more to God.

You can be humble and know that you are humble and even acknowledge it, in theory, yes. However, we are fallen creatures and our motives are rarely, if ever, completely pure. To call yourself "humble enough" implies that there is a standard level of humility which you surpass...there is none. Humility is a continual-growth virtue...you can never have enough. Just like you can never have enough love.

I really should start finishing my sentences.....what I was meaning is humble enough to acknowledge when I've been wrong or beaten

Ah. Well then, may God continue to grant you humility.

Let the games begin.

I suggest you pick a few possible topics in your thread in the DT (Debate Table, its our shorthand, you'll pick it up).

Well, we need to know what you disagree with Catholics about...so it really has to be your pick.

You call them "Apocrypha" (it's Greek for "hidden"), but we call them Deuterocanonicals. Sorry, sometimes there are just big terms to get around.
