toledo_jesus
So... How did it go?
oh it was fine. They were completely mystified. Didn't know what mortal sin was. Hadn't been to Confession since their first. Never even heard of receiving on the tongue. Didn't recognize Latin. Didn't want to dress up. Didn't want to wear a head-covering. Basically, I wept inside. But overall it was a good experience. We tried to practice receiving the Host but the girls couldn't stop giggling.
HisChild
Wow. . .8th graders who havent been to Confession in, what? 5 years? That's just. . . .sad. I mean, I am sure no one's murdered anyone in the bunch, but. . . .wow. (I wonder if there can be any reminders sent to the parents and kids. . .well, they're 8th graders, just the kids then, that Confession should be done at a MIN of once a year) God bless them. They're our future.
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
P. Corpus Domini nostri Jesu Christi custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam. Amen that is what the priest says when he administers communion to the faithful
