franciscanheart
I agree that EWTN is boring as heck. Fidei Defensor
There is a late show of sorts. Its meditations for insomniacs with Fr. Benedict Groschel. I find them actually quite good. I also enjoy their mini clips of "the saints speak" where they have meditations with saints. Overall, EWTN is quite orthodox. While i tend to agree that the presentation of the shows isnt all that appealing, the information they contain and the discussions they have are really good, and I enjoy watching for that reason. I learned about one of my favorite saints on that channel. . .I'm not sure I'd know about her even now, if it wasn't for their clips on saints! EcceNovaFacioOmni
EWTN is far from modernist. It's not a network to watch 24/7 but there is something for every interest if you just want to tune in to watch certain shows.
Paladin
Anyone that calls EWTN heterodox needs a head examination. I don't watch it that often, but did once watch a 70s-style cartoon about the life of St. Francis. It was so old school comic book-style drama. :
Charms717RM1
Lol, it seems like EWTN is pretty much the only channel I watch nowadays. Guess i need to get a life... But from what I can tell they're certainly not modernist- If I wanted modernist I'd watch MTV.

Fides_et_Ratio
Lifeteen would not help EWTN. They need BETTER programming, LT would be a step down (but that's another debate). EWTN just needs better communications and better technical "stuff" (lol)... it may be informational, but I'd have to pray I'd learn by osmosis since it would put me to sleep so quickly. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
I like the journey home, and life on the rock. sometimes the priests says some stuff i do not agree with, but no biggie.
HisChild
Well, obviously many people love the programming, since it exists through the generosity of donations.
Dave
How I wish my cable system here at home had EWTN! And that Christopher Ferrara dude ... I just can't stomach his writings. In addition to blasting the Holy Father and seeing "Modernists" behind every tree, he's just so sarcastic and downright nasty. Not exactly the model of Christian charity, now, is he? stbernardLT
LIFE TEEN throws down the best Ctholic media around from videos to cd's, to merchandise and their website. This media studio is way ahead of the game.
Era Might
Stay far far away from Christopher Ferrara. He's dangerous to your faith as a Catholic. I don't find EWTN boring at all. I rather enjoy its programming. Maybe you're all looking for ENTERTAINMENT. That's not really why EWTN exists. It is a didactic station, intending to TEACH, not really ENTERTAIN. If you're looking for ENTERTAINMENT, you'll have to found your own station.
