Piccoli Fiori JMJ
Confession is about humbling yourself and accusing yourself and seeking forgiveness... I had a fear to go because I was far to embaressed to confess some of my sins, and I was given many opportunities... I chose the pains of hell rather than being able to humble myself and seek forgiveness...
thessalonian
Confession used to scare the h-e-double tooth picks out of me as well. Just realize God's mercy in the sacrament and that likely nothing you will say is worse than the worst the priest has heard. Even so, they are trained to not hold on to what they hear. I've never had a priest treat me differently because of what I have confessed. Pray that God gives you the understanding to know his mercy. I will add that one should have a certain amound of "fear" going in to confession if he has proper disposition toward sin. The fear of the consequences of not going should be greater however and it seems yours is. The sacrament should provide a certain relief for all of this however. It does for me. Church Punk
im afraid i wil say something that the priest thinks is ridiculous, or is Too much information. Im afraid to give too much information, i do not want to embaress the priest or lead to an occassion of sinĀ
Believe me nothing is too riduculous for the priest, Im sure he has herd it all! For the 24 years I have been alive and Catholic I have never had yet me meet a priest that was unhelpful during confession. He will direct you if something is not a sin. Confession is a time where you can just let it all go. You can ramble on about what ever is bothering you. The priest is there to help. Let him know about your fears you are expressing here. Perhaps he can give some insight to what you need to hear.
