Another year has gone by, another Easter I will miss. I need this and I can't have it. I really should talk to a priest, but I think its all for not. Just needed to say that. Sorry such a bummer.

You can still go to mass on Holy Thursday, services Good Friday, and keep the Easter Vigil.

God bless you. I know it must be tough.

Hang in there.

Edit: My buddy St. Anselm is praying for you too. It was his intercession that got me to Mass, (and quickly, too), so you just wait and see how things turn out!

As CMom said, no need to "miss" Mass during this period . . . Our parish combines with the local Episcopal church for the Good Friday Passion readings . . . I nearly cried the first time I attended . . . and still find that one of the most difficult set of readings to hear . . . The foot washing (common on Thursday night - and followed in our parish by our once a year formal adoration) is a call to service . . . you are hearing a call . . . come on inside so you can hear more clearly

Please, do yourself a favor and talk to a priest. Easter should/could be a wonderful time of renewal and growth. It's for everyone and that includes YOU.

I feel the same way you do. Exactly. But, I've looked at it in a new light recently. Just like you, I waited to long to start conversion into the Church, and, if its my priest's decision, it looks like I'll have to wait another year to be accepted into the Church. But, as everyone else has said, be patient and listen to what Our Lord has to tell you. Never grow tired of adoring Him and feeling His presence in the Blessed Sacrament. Even though you can't receive Him spend as much time as you can adoring him in the Tabernacle and at Mass. Also, let Our Lady guide you. Pray the Rosary and let her reveal what her Son's will for you is. Do these things and you'll be great! And don't be sad at Easter! Even though you can't receive Our Lord its still a great gift to be in His presence! And at Easter! When we celebrate His Resurrection. At the moment of Consecration praise Our Lord for His Resurrection, for His crushing of death, and for the salvation of us all!
