Guest Guest
With so many versions of the Bible out there, which one is the one that has the most truth in it or has been translated the clearest?
Pontifex
Yes there are many versions of the Bible, the inspired word of God. It is an important question, and I will give you the easiest answer without going into a long detailed description. The Bible is most purely represented in the Catholic Church. With the dawn of the, so called, reformation, we see the disappearance of Seven books. So, if you want the fullest and most accurate Bible, then get one that has 73 Books in it. Why read one that has been tampered with since the 15th century? I personally read two bibles, and find them to be helpful. I read the New American Bible, the St. Joseph Edition. I also like the Jerusalem Bible, for its poetic flare, although it is a bit inaccurate in places. I hope this helps. Peace, Fr. P
