Do not forget the toilet paper!

A man accused of fatally beating his roommate with a sledgehammer and a claw hammer because there was no toilet paper in their home has been arrested.

Crow told investigators that the men were fighting about the toilet paper over the weekend when Matthews pulled out a rifle. Crow said he then began beating Matthews with the sledgehammer and claw hammer

Matthews was beaten so badly he had to be identified through his fingerprints[/quote]

This is horrible (yet almost unbelievable to the point of being comical)... but what in the world?!

A fight over toilet paper? I want to know was it because one liked it over the top while the other wanted it under, or was it because of brand?

Seriously though, one might conclude that this guy was possessed or totally crazy.

Which western bad guy was it that killed a man over snoring?

Ya, tyhis is crazy, but if you start off with little or not respect for life, you might be prone to such actions.

I once read about a similar incident involving a bumper bender, a small accident in a parking lot that ended up with a shooting, 2 deaths and a person heading to prison for God knows how long....

We had a kid here in Bradenton, I think he was around 16, get mad at his little brother, hit him in the head with a lead pipe and killed him. Then he actually thought "Oh no, now I have to kill the rest of the family before they find out I killed my brother"... so the older kid went and killed his mother, grandmother, and father with the same lead pipe.

It would be great if we could get the 10 Commandments and a Crucifix on every school wall, along with morality classes run by loyal Catholic priests.

God Bless,

Ash Wednesday

Um, yeah. Toilet paper. That's more than just a little bit disturbing...

I remember in school, a teacher mentioned something along the lines of marriages blowing up and falling apart over someone squeezing the toothpaste tube wrong -- i.e. there's something deeply wrong on a whole different level that comes out in the smallest things.

That's exactly what I was going to say. There was definitely something more seriously wrong than a dispute over toilet paper.

For those of you who think, "Sheesh, toilet paper? What the heck?" I ask... what exactly would merrit a beating so severe that fingerprints were needed to identify the body?

I think that is exactly the point - there really is nothing that merits that. Ever. The fact that it was over Toliet Paper just makes it even more profane somehow.

Why, though? WOuld it have been less profane if they guy had slept with the other guy's wife? I don't know...

I guess TP doesn't bother me at all...

That reminds me for about two weeks last month my wife was getting on to me for forgetting to buy toilet paper or forgetting to remind her to buy toilet paper. I kept telling her there was no need to buy toilet paper. Finally, I showed her the giant 24 double roll pack we got at Sams in early January.

No it wouldn't. I don't know. I think its just human nature that tell's us that - we are conditioned, I think, by seeing so much of the other stuff. People being killed for cheating, or revenge, or other means ... that toliet paper is so out of the norm, that it strikes us as ridiculous.

The loss of life, however, is always profane.

Funny how we get conditioned to think that killing for other reasons is normal.

I think I just had an epiphany.

And while were are all so completely shocked over this, I mean, who wouldnt be?...Let's remember to pray for the repose of the soul of the man who was bludgeoned so badly that fingerprints were needed to identify his remains and also for the man who, for all intensive purposes, completely lost it and beat his room mate to death over a toilet paper issue.
