Lil Red
Sometimes Diocesan websites have info as to where 3rd orders are located, parish wise. I wonder if you could look there, or even call the Diocesan office? You might get further along that route.
not my diocese i have emailed and called a priest, but i haven't heard anything back yet. anyone have suggestions? HisChild
They used to have an isolate program for secular Carmelites, most provinces no longer allow it, but. . .I wonder if there are any 3rd order Dominicans that are similar (meaning that you can start your formation with a director, via mail.) Mary-Kathryn
yes, i called a priest (i hope he was human) there are no local dominicans in my diocese
Lil Red, Don't get discouraged. I found [while discerning my vocation as a Secular Carmelite] that many times the websites haven't been tended to in awhile,...faces change, numbers change etc...If I may suggest the following" Talk to your priest, maybe he has connections. Call your vocations director of the diocese and see if he knows a group. after all, it IS a vocation : See if there is a parish run by Dominicans in your diocese and call them--bet there is a chapter right at that church. Here's a website you might not have tried: http://www.op.org/oplaity/laycat.htm this is a webiste that has it all including the provinces of the USA. http://www.op.org/international/english/Li...rth_america.htm Get in touch with one of the provinces and see what they can do for you! prayers for your vocation Mary-Kathryn
