Nicole8223
Ok, so its time to make the honeymoon decision, and we are really not sure. Cove Haven is my choice because its completely focused on newlyweds during the week, and the rooms there are 1000 times better than anything I've seen offered anywhere else. The other problem is do we do Sandals (or another similar type thing) or just do our own thing? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Fides_et_Ratio
I vote for Rome (aka "other"). You can go to a Wednesday Audience and have your marriage blessed by the Pope! (and who says you'll only wear your wedding dress once?)

Birgitta Noel
Here's my $0.02. If you go somewhere that focuses on honeymooners, you're no one special, i.e. everyone there is a honeymooner (or a couple). If you go somewhere else you're the special ones and will get special perks, treatment, attention, etc.! (Note: Be sure to tell everyone it's your honeymoon when making reservations, arriving at a resturant, etc. It pays off!) We went to Hawaii. We didn't have to worry about shots, drinking the water, crime, etc. that we might have had to worry about overseas. We didn't do an all inclusive which allowed us to do our own thing and leave or stay at the hotel as we pleased for meals etc. To each his own. What was right for us may not be right for you. Church Punk
Cuba is supposed to be absolutly amazing! No one bothers you at all. Lots of Sun, Sea and Sky. Tons of culture!
Birgitta Noel
Ummm, I don't think Americans can go to Cuba still.....Or am I wrong?
Church Punk
Yes they are allowed... There are no direct flights though. You would have to connect with a flight from Canada.

I'm gonna have to go with Fides vote for Rome. Or you could go somewhere in Italy for part and then Rome for a few days too. the Mediterranean climate is nice. Nicole8223
I should have clarified. We live in Philadelphia, and we are on a tight budget. Europe is out of the question, and so is anything really far away (Fiji, Tahiti, Bora Bora). I don't want it to be just another Caribbean vacation, because we can do that anytime in our life. And we've done it together before with my family. I want it to stand out... Ok...so there are the clarifications. Thanks!!!!

1337 k4th0l1x0r
If you want to do a Carribean resort where you lounge around in the sun all day sipping drinks and maybe heading out for an afternoon cruise, then I recommend Jamaica. They are the king of all-inclusive resorts, which means just about everything is paid for. Free meals, drinks, room service, watersports, etc. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and had a most wonderful time. If you do Jamaica, go with one of the Couples resorts. Sandals used to be good, but they've gotten to a point where they cut too many corners. We stayed at a resort that is now a Couples resort and my wife's best friend honeymooned at a different Couples resort. They are adults only, but maybe 25-40% are honeymooners. We met a wide range of people and had a good time there. I haven't heard of any honeymoons only places, but it wouldn't surprise me if that niche is starting up. Also avoid the places that aren't ordinarily all-inclusive but have an upgrade to all-inclusive.
toledo_jesus
Cape Cod, Mass. rent a cottage. go to the beach. drive a big car around them tiny Yank streets and watch 'em get mad. Go to the Kream 'n Kone and get the clam strips. Go to Provincetown and marvel at the gays and the fabulous shopping. Also, go to Hyannis for further shopping with fewer rainbow flags.
