Era Might
Who's your favorite actor? I gotta say Al Pacino. Not to say I would recommend all his movies, from a moral perspective, but I think he's just a great actor. If a movie has Al Pacino in it, no matter what, I know it'll be a great acting performance. He just has great presence. And he's done it as a young man (Godfather) and as an old man (Insomnia - great movie). Era Might
Check out "The Merchant of Venice," he plays an excellent Shylock.
I watched that movie today. Pacino was excellent, but the story is weird. Were those two guys supposed to be homosexual? And why did the daughter run off and steal her father's jewelery? Did she hate him or something? And why the heck did those two women pretend to be judges? And what was the point of getting their husbands to give their rings away? The only character who made sense to me was Shylock. I thought it was pretty cool how they turned the tables of justice back at him. I wonder if it was supposed to be a Christian message of mercy? I don't know. All the Elizabethen English went over my head. I didn't know what the heck they were saying half the time. And what was up with all the Christians? They did nothing but eat, drink, and be merry.
