It's a beautiful book! St. Therese really was a wonderful person!! I really think you'll enjoy her book. And there are soooo many other wonderful books out there on her too!!

What strikes me is the fact that during her whole life she was basically unknown outside of the convent. And look at what God did once He took her home to Him!!! Now she is one of the most popular saints. And her spirituality is so beautiful. I'm the same age right now as she was when she died....I can't IMAGINE having accomplished what she did. She truly was a very special person!!

I love Saint Therese, my favorite picture of her is of Saint Therese dressed as Saint Joan of Arc for a play at her Monastery, it is really cool. ( I would post it but this is a computer in the computer lab at the Sem, so I don't have it with me)
God Bless

OOOOh, I like that picture too! What do you think? Her hair is so long in that picture. Was she allowed to keep it long or was that a wig somehow? I'm thinking it's her hair, but I just can't fathom her being allowed to keep her hair that long, in Carmel.

I found a copy of it online so other people can see what we were talking about. Personaly I never even thought about her hair not being real, or about them not allowing her to have long hair at the Carmel, anyway its a cool picture

When I was visiting Carmel, I was told that they cut their hair 'short but not so short that your hair pokes out from beneath your veil'. And of course, the PCPA and other poor clares cut their hair upon entrance to the Novitiate.

I found that pic online as well, but I can't figure out how to post it here!
