Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this...oral final...thirty three possible questions...half-hour long test...makes me feel

I'm definitely thinking that this is going to be totally uncool...

But afterwards? Oh, I'm totally going to go :drunk: !

Example Question:

How does H. U. von Balthasar summarize the five basic themes of New Testament soteriology and their inter-relationships?

2/11 - Our Lady of Lourdes

-Identify the chief characteristics of the School of Alexandria and the School of Antioch.
-Explain why it is that we can say that "God suffered on the Cross" but we cannot say that "Christ suffered in His divine nature"; include the communicatio idiomatum in your answer (btw, we spent five minutes on the communication of idioms in class and I have no idea what it is)
-How was Jesus aware of His being sent by the Father on a mission of salvation? What are different views amongst orthodox theologians regarding His messianic consciousness?
-Explain the meaning of the admirabile commercium as a central concept of soteriology. How does (Roch) Kereszty define the three dimensions of this idea?
-What is the Satisfaction Theory as formulated by Anselm? What were the responses to it by Abelard and Aquinas?

 I don't know how I'm going to do on this...

They had you read Kereszty's text? What other texts were there?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just curious because I miss school.

Mundelein...but the Christology prof is shifty as heck. I'm going to have to flush all this on Tuesday (after the final) and teach myself Christology. :( He's the only shifty prof I know of, but I don't have time for this stuff.

Oh dang that looks so cool (the questions, that is if he prepared you for them in class). I'm in Christology (undergrad) right now and love it.

Roch Kereszty's book Jesus Christ was the only required texts. The optional texts (Kasper's Jesus Christ, Galot's What About Jesus? or something like that) are shifty, so I didn't get them. I really want to read Ratzinger's Behold the Pierced One. I also want to find some good Thomists and get their views on Christology.

Man..... I'm so bummed that I have to wait until next year to take Christology. Silly scheduling conflicts wouldn't let me take it this semester w/ all my friends. <_<

I remember a thread in which I posted Christology book recommendations.. I'll see if I can find it and do a little copy/paste. :D:
