Jaime
Sounds like ghost aliens to me.
I'd prefer you wouldn't mock the experience. It was unsettling enough. Besides it was you who was asking for greater details Edited February 12, 2006 by jaime

I've already said I believe in the stuff....I'm allowed to make fun of it. Granted, even if I didn't believe, I'd still make fun of it...

If I had known it was just fodder to poke fun at, I wouldn't have shared.

thessalonian
Hey, you know what, I listen to what a priest tells me.

I am an adult, and I make up my own mind about some things.
So have the many good priests who have expressed suport for Medjogorie that I know been wrong. Should I not listen to them? What makes your priest info better than mine? Edited February 12, 2006 by thessalonian
Church Punk
It's my understanding that the Church cannot and does not endorse official pilgrimmages to Medjugorje, but personal pilgrimmages are allowed. I share the same concern as Donna regarding the sheer number and banal nature of the messages. I am touched by some of the stories of conversions and healings that have taken place there. I would think that anyone that seeks guidance from God and the Blessed Mother would not be turned away, wherever they pilgrimmage to. But I would credit those things to the Holy Spirit moreso than the apparitions themselves. I thought that the consecration already took place -- John Paul II in 1984, and that Lucy verified this. http://www.ewtn.com/expert/answers/Fatima1984.htm
I was always under the impression that this was the concecration of the entire world in general. Russia was never mentioned in this by his holiness John Paul II. Further, it was not united with all bishops of the world. I am very confused now, because at my Church during the Marian hour on friday evening we pray that the Pope will concecrate Russia specifically. Another evidence that the true concecration was not taken place would be that we do not have peace in the world, and Russia has not converted to the Catholic faith. If anything it is far worse that it was in 1984 and Russia is now where near converting. But this isnt the place to debate this issue, perhaps I should open a new thread. Church Punk
By the way, in my first post, I am not saying that Medjugorje is not true, I am just confussed and I am trying to make some logic of it all.
