missionseeker
Lord our God, your Son gave himself up to death to bring your scattered children into unity. Grant us perserverance in Christ's work of reconciliation for which St. Peter the Aleut and St.Andrew Bobola died as martyrs. We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever Amen

missionseeker
Does our life become from day to day more painful, more oppressive, more replete with afflictions? Blessed be He a thousand times who desires it so! If life be harder, love makes it also stronger and only this love, grounded on suffering, can carry the Cross of my Lord Jesus Christ. Love without egotism, without relying on self, but enkindling in the depth of the heart an ardent thirst to love and suffer for all those around us ; a thirst that neither misfortune nor contempt can extinguish.... I believe, O Lord’ but strengthen my faith... Heart of Jesus, I love Thee; but increase my love.. Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee; but give greater vigor to my confidence. Heart of Jesus, I give my heart to Thee; but so enclose it in Thee that it may never be separated from Thee. Heart of Jesus, I am all Thine; but take care of my promise so that I may be able to put it in practice even unto the complete sacrifice of my life. - Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J. - I really love this prayer. missionseeker
Pope John Paul II's Prayer To Our Lady Of Lourdes Hail Mary, poor and humble Woman, Blessed by the Most High! Virgin of hope, dawn of a new era, We join in your song of praise, to celebrate the Lord’s mercy, to proclaim the coming of the Kingdom and the full liberation of humanity. Hail Mary, lowly handmaid of the Lord, Glorious Mother of Christ! Faithful Virgin, holy dwelling-place of the Word, Teach us to persevere in listening to the Word, and to be docile to the voice of the Spirit, attentive to his promptings in the depths of our conscience and to his manifestations in the events of history. Hail Mary, Woman of sorrows, Mother of the living! Virgin spouse beneath the Cross, the new Eve, Be our guide along the paths of the world. Teach us to experience and to spread the love of Christ, to stand with you before the innumerable crosses on which your Son is still crucified. Hail Mary, woman of faith, First of the disciples! Virgin Mother of the Church, help us always to account for the hope that is in us, with trust in human goodness and the Father’s love. Teach us to build up the world beginning from within: in the depths of silence and prayer, in the joy of fraternal love, in the unique fruitfulness of the Cross. Holy Mary, Mother of believers, Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. Amen.
missionseeker
PRAYER TO OUR LADY, HELP OF CHRISTIANS Mary, powerful Virgin, You are the mighty and glorious protector of the Church. You are the marvelous help of Christians. You are awe inspiring as an army in battle array. In the midst of our anguish, struggle, and distress, defend us from the power of the enemy, and at the hour of hour death, receive our soul in Heaven. missionseeker
Prayer of Cardinal Newman to St Philip Neri Philip, my glorious Advocate, teach me to look at all I see around me after thy pattern, as creatures of God. Let me never forget that the same God who made me, made the whole world and all animals that are in it. Give me the grace to love all God’s works for God’s sake, and all men fore the sake of my Lord and saviour who has redeemed me on the Cross.
