missionseeker
Are you felling any better? Saint Polycarp Prayers Saint Polycarp, bishop of Smyrna and a disciple of the apostles, was burned at the stake about the year 155. His feast day is February 23. This is the prayer he prayed before he died: Lord, almighty God, Father of your beloved and blessed Son Jesus Christ, through whom we have come to the knowledge of yourself, God of angels, of powers, of all creation, of all the race of saints who live in your sight, I bless you for judging me worthy of this day, this hour, so that in the company of the martyrs I may share the cup of Christ, your annointed one, and so rise again to eternal life in soul and body, immortal through the power of the Holy Spirit. May I be received among the martyrs in your presence today as a rich and pleasing sacrifice. God of truth, stranger to falsehood, you have prepared this and revealed it to me and now you have fulfilled your promise. I praise you for all things, I bless you, I glorify you through the eternal priest of heaven, Jesus Christ, your beloved Son. Through him be glory to you, together with him and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen. Here is a prayer the Church prays concerning Saint Polycarp: God of all creation, you gave your bishop Polycarp the privilege of being counted among the saints who gave their lives in faithful witness to the gospel. May his prayers give us the courage to share with him the cup of suffering and to rise to eternal glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

I slept a combined total between Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday morning for 20 hours and was able to knock any and everything out of my system. My mind is clearer and I have much more energy than I did before. It also helped to give my mind a mental break with a mindless video game (fable) which helped aid the speed of recovery I am sure Thanks again God Bless

ForHimAlone
O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your servant. Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope, and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life. In his loneliness, comfort him. In his sorrows, strengthen him. In his frustrations, point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show him that he is needed by the Church, he is needed by souls, he is needed for the work of redemption. O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your son who is close to you because of his priestly vocation, and because of the power which he has received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs Him so much. Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy. Amen. missionseeker
A PRAYER OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY 1. "Hail Mary, full of grace!" Immaculate Virgin, here I am at your feet once again, full of devotion and gratitude. I return to this historic Piazza di Spagna on the solemn day of your feast to pray for the beloved city of Rome, for the Church, for the whole world. In you, "humble and highest of creatures", divine grace had the full victory over evil. You are for us, pilgrims on the paths of the world, the bright model of evangelical fidelity and the ever-living pledge of sure hope. 2. Virgin Mother, "Salvation of the Roman People!" Watch over, I pray you, the beloved Diocese of Rome: over pastors and faithful, parishes and religious communities. Watch over families especially: may love sealed by the Sacrament ever reign between spouses, may children walk on the paths of goodness and true freedom, may the elderly feel surrounded by attention and affection. Inspire, Mary, in so many young hearts, generous replies to the "call for the mission", a subject on which the diocese has been reflecting over the years. Thanks to an intense pastoral program for vocations, may Rome be enriched by new young forces, dedicated with enthusiasm to proclaiming the Gospel in the city and in the world. 3. Blessed Virgin, Queen of Apostles! Assist those who through study and prayer are preparing to labor on the many frontiers of the new evangelization. Today I entrust to you, in a special way, the community of the Pontifical Urban College, whose historic headquarters are located in front of this pillar. May this wonderful institution founded 375 years ago by Pope Urban VIII for the formation of missionaries, be able to continue effectively its ecclesial service. May those it gathers, seminarians and priests, men and women religious and laity, be ready to put their energies at the disposition of Christ in service of the Gospel to the far corners of the globe. 4. "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!" Pray, O Mother, for all of us. Pray for humanity for those who suffers poverty and injustice, violence and hatred, terror and war. Help us to contemplate with the rosary the mysteries of Him who "is our peace", so that we will all feel involved in a persevering dedication of service to peace. Look with special attention upon the land in which you gave birth to Jesus, a land that you loved together with Him, and that is still so sorely tried today. Pray for us, Mother of hope! "Give us days of peace, watch over our way. Let us see your Son as we rejoice in heaven". Amen! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prayer by Pope John Paul II on the Second Sunday of Advent, 8 December 2002 . missionseeker
Prayer To Our Lady, Help Of Christians By St. John Bosco Most Holy Virgin Mary, Help of Christian, how sweet it is to come to your feet imploring your perpetual help. If earthly mothers cease not to remember their children, how can you, the most loving of all mothers forget me? Grant then to me, I implore you, your perpetual help in all my necessities, in every sorrow, and especially in all my temptations. I ask for your unceasing help for all who are now suffering. Help the weak, cure the sick, convert sinners. Grant through your intercessions many vocations to the religious life. Obtain for us, O Mary, Help of Christians, that having invoked you on earth we may love and eternally thank you in heaven.
missionseeker
Prayer of Pope John Paul II to St. Pio of Pietrelcina Teach us, we pray, humility of heart, so that we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. Help us to pray without ceasing, certain that God knows what we need even before we ask Him. Obtain for us the eyes of faith that will help us recognize in the poor and suffering, the very face of Jesus. Sustain us in the hour of trouble and trial and, if we fall, let us experience the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness. Grant us your tender devotion to Mary, mother of Jesus and our Mother. Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage toward the blessed Homeland, where we too, hope to arrive to contemplate forever the Glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Make me always cling to Your commmandments, and never permit me to be separated from You. Who with the same God the Father and the Holy Spirit, live and reign, God, world without end. Amen. missionseeker
I haven't not prayed, just not been able to bump the thread. Sorry. Litany for Priests Jesus, meek and humble of heart, give all priests Thy spirit of humility; Jesus, poor and worn out for souls, give all priests Thy spirit of zeal; Jesus, full of patience and mercy for sinners, give all priests Thy spirit of compassion; Jesus, victim for the sins of the world, give all priests Thy spirit of sacrifice; Jesus, lover of the little and the poor, give all priests Thy spirit of charity. Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us; and obtain for us numerous and holy priests and religious. Amen.
