Decrees Online

Recommended Posts

Just a couple of reminders as I am finally getting back on the ball with my own website:

I am trying to compile the most important Catholic documents online in a very easy to use and download HTML format.

I thus far have the Code of Canon Law and the 21 Decrees of the Ecumenical Councils online.

The staff is also working on thinking what to add next in the coming weeks. We plan on adding at least two versions of the Bible. If you can think of other documents that would be most helpful, especially in leiu of our mission, please let me know so we can consider adding those as well.

Also, if you have a graphic to a website that we don't have on the bottom of our homepage in a 88x31 image that would go good there, please let me know.

Remember that we also offer secured private forums for issues that do better off of public forums. We have a teens, men's, women's, NFP, and adult support forum (general support for life events, which Nick, I'd love for you to help moderate)

I've been wanting to add all of these important documents in a readable format on my upcoming website as well. But I wasn't sure how a copyright works on doing that. Is it okay? Where do I need to get the text from for it to be okay?

[quote name='thedude' date='Feb 7 2006, 04:11 PM']I wish the RSV-CE was online (not the RSV).

ya know, the differences between the two are relatively minor. all one would have to do is go in and manually insert the changes............but i suppose that breaches some type oif copyright law.

Hrm....could I put a RSV-CE online? Or would that be against copyright laws? I'd be happy to. I have a copy saved on my computer.
