DesiringMore
As the priest reads, "the holy gospel according to ..." in Mass everyone does the sign of the cross on the forehead, the chin, and the chest....what is the reason for this? BLAZEr
We make the sign of the Cross on our Foreheads so that our minds will be open to the Gospel, we make the sign of the Cross on our Lips so that we may always speak the Gospel, and we make the sign of the Cross over our hearts so that the Gospel may take firm root in our hearts. I usually say "Lord be on my mind so I may know your Word, on my lips so I may speak your Word, and in my heart so I may live your Word."
