Da Vinci Code Questions

so last night while on church retreat, one of the retreaters asked me about Davinci Code and about Jesus having sexual relations or being married. I dont think i worthly explained it to him tht we just know by not being in the bible and through faith. Though him being really subborn about the situation and wouldnt accept what i had to say (not even listening really, but thats what he did most of the retreat sadly, i had to repeat several things already said) I think i got to a point where he gave up arguing.
I was just wondering how im supposed to really explain this in the future.
