photosynthesis
i got "one of those emails today" from an employer I really wanted to work for, saying that I didn't get the job. It turned out they actually decided not to hire a new D.A. and so they could not accept me, but still, I feel really rejected. hopefully God wants me to do something, because I can't sit around all day drinking coffee and listening to Haydn. At least not for long.
Sojourner
Bummer! I'm sure the right job will come along.
azaelia
I went through the same thing this week. It was my first real interview, and they called me back two hours later and told me they wanted to keep looking. Condolences.
Era Might
Good advice I heard recently: God will open another door. Just make sure you're ready to go through it.
photosynthesis
yeah... I just have to keep looking. I really don't know what he wants me to do! All I know is that for the first time I'm living with my family and actually getting along with them, and I'm happy. But I am also broke so money is a good thing. Maybe I should start applying for missionary programs. although i'm not sure if I'm really called to do that.

So many employers won't even send out e-mails saying that they reviewed my resume and I wasn't a good fit for them. I'd rather know than get my hopes up. what kind of jobs are you looking for? benedictaj
Oh, poor Claire. It can't have been His Will, I guess.
Birgitta Noel
Something will come along. How long have you been looking? It's not unusual for job searches to take 6 months or longer.... Hang in there, If you need money, temp.... And enjoy that coffee and Hayden while you can!
photosynthesis
I have thought of giving temping a try. My aunt says that it would be easy for me to get a job substitute teaching or doing computer stuff.... I just saw this ad for a job at catholicjobs.com it looks SO COOL!!!! I want it really really really bad now.... it's a Young Adult Ministry Coordinator position... It's not in the field I was originally looking into working (journalism) but I can say with 100% certainty that if I were working for the Church in that capacity I would be happy and at peace... and that's what's important, right? The job they turned me down for was as a bank teller. Would have been ideal, but hey, maybe it's a good thing I didn't get it. We might be moving out of the area, anyway. photosynthesis
hmm...interesting i definitely know what ministry fatigue is like, after doing campus ministry and being the only one who seemed at all invested in the community. but such is life....
