Simple question.

All I want to know if you subscribe to any automatic podcasting - like automatically getting the Frs Phat Phive every week.

(If you subscribe to anything, you should subscribe to that too)

I get the Catholic Rockers podcast, along with Mike Ofca's Innovation Studios podcast...good stuff. I should check out the Phat Phive...

I thought this survey was going to ask if we produced our own podcasts!

Which I don't. Though I have a friend that does.

I do download podcasts (though iTunes).

But not my friend's podcast.

:)

I thought you meant "do you have your own podcast" so I voted no. But in reality I do download and listen to a lot of podcasts, namely the Cardinal Arinze Podcast, Catholic Insider, Rosary Army, Catholic Barfight and other podcasts

Kind of like a blog, but in audio format. People subscribe to it, and usually listen on an iPod. There are many available through iTunes. They're free.

Commonly podcasts will have stuff like fiction, news reports, lectures, etc.

a misconception is that you need an ipod - really anyone can do it with downloadable software. Think of it as radio on demand . . . when you want to hear a radio show (in the form of a free mp3) you can listen to it, and when there is a new one, it is automatically downloaded to your computer (or ipod)

tell me more about the catholic barfight

It's a debate show with these two guys... one's a hardcore traditionalist who's a political conservative, and the other one's a Vatican II Catholic with some liberal views, but all in all he's pretty orthodox. They call it "The Catholic version of a knifefight in a telephone booth."

Commendable behavior.

I have an iPod, but I never listen to podcasts on it. I use the computer for those...

I never understood the podcast concept -- I read much faster than anyone speaks -- until someone told me it was good for commuting.
