Reaction from Lebanon

That's very complex. Most of the protestors were Syrians or Palestinians. They attacked Churches and Christians too. This is just to make Lebanon unstable and cause another war so that Syria can come back into Lebanon.

Religious Leaders in lebanon Condemned the attack (Christian and Muslim).

Lebanon Apologizes to Denmark

The Government has apologized and sought to punish the people who did this (they were arrested). Many Sunni Muslims were ticked off because they don't approve of the fire. People knew there was a protest but no one knew a group of Palestinians and Syrians (a small amount of the People were actually Lebanese) would start something like this.
You know there is a part of me that's actually kind of glad that the Muslims are reacting like this. Maybe Europe will now come together and fight against the true enemy that is radical Islam.

Are you asking for yet another World War? :detective:

The good thing is that Christians didn't fight back when the Palestinians and Syrians (and the small amount of fake Lebanese) vandalized the Churches and attacked random Christians. If they did, something worse may have happened (which is most likely the reason for the attacks in the first place).

Rana, a sports teacher, says she was protesting peacefully with her friends in front of the embassy when trouble broke out.

"There were two protests. The first one, that we were on, was peaceful. Then the others came.

"They started to throw tear gas. We were all crying like babies and choking. Boys started throwing rocks - we ran," she said.

"I went to protest in support of my religion, I was surprised that this happened.

"If I was a Christian I would be very upset with Muslims [about the damage to cars and a church], but they have to believe it was not us," she continued.

"I am not afraid about the future, I have faith in my country. We have to have confidence in each other."

Bilal Daibo was out for lunch in the centre of Beirut soon after the protests.

I am boycotting Danish products: Bilal Daibo

"Whether what was done was by Lebanese Muslims or outsiders, those who did it were hooligans," he said.

"I would say I speak for 95% of the Sunni Muslim population when I say we are against any sort of destruction in Lebanon, against Muslims or Christians.

"It was an uncivilised act by a small group of people," he added.

"On the other hand, I think I speak for 95% of the Muslim population when I say we are against what the newspaper did - not only against Muhammad - if it was against Jesus it would be the same.

"I don't think there is much point in going on protests, but I am boycotting Danish products."

There are more interviews on the link from Christians who witnessed it and Muslims who were peacefully protesting. Thank you Myles for posting that link earlier.

Ash Wednesday

It is crazy, isn't it...? Something the Danish PM today was calling a worldwide crisis. Triggered by cartoons.

Though in the end, it's really not just about cartoons.

As I have been saying for a while... islam is not about peace... it's about pieces... pieces of bodies, pieces of land, pieces of bombs... etc....

I forgot to add... Tehran is calling for a world cartoon contest for the best "holocaust hoax" contest...

That's right kids... Iran thinks WWII Holocaust was a hoax or grossly exaggerated.
Iran's fiercely anti-Israeli regime is supportive of so-called Holocaust revisionist historians, who maintain the systematic slaughter by the Nazis of mainland Europe's Jews as well as other groups during World War II has been either invented or exaggerated.
I wonder how this will go down in the history books and whats to come in the next 3-5 years?

I don't think this cartoon will start WWIII, but does it show that we are headed that way? Sadly I think so...

Ash Wednesday

It's time for people to get some balls.

Secularism is nothing but a comfortable, fuzzy bunny being cozied and cuddled in its own cage of material complacency to an unsuspecting death.

Only thing that can save the West now is Christianity. The secularists are already 66% the way to defeat. We have to put together some concrete evangelisation strategies pronto.

I watched the JP2 movie that was on CBS. I was mulling over the fact that JP2's faith and the faith of the Polish people eventually toppled communism in Poland. I was thinking how even if the Muslims try and kill everyone, one thing they cannot take is our fatih. In the end, we have the advantage. We have love and righteousness.

They may take our bodies, but they cannot take our souls.

So whaddya reckon we should do? Begin a pamphlet war? Worked during the Catholic reformation? Short sharp pamplets left in conspicious places might get the ball rolling?
