33  -  Your score rates you as "non-homophobic."
In his 1996 study of 64 white, male college students, Dr. Henry Adams classed 29 participants as "non-homophobic." Their mean score was 30.48. This is not conclusive, however. Dr. Adams, the researcher who helped develop this scale, writes that "a major difficulty of this area of research is in defining and measuring homophobia." Elsewhere, he cautions: Since there is no universally accepted definition of homophobia, the scales currently in use may not measure all aspects of homophobia.
I thought of hitting the guy that came on to me... but to be honest I had to say no.

If you all really want to know a little something; in my university days, I had 3 times more guys 'coming on' to me than girls. <_<

anyways...

Back to you Bob...

i had a friend who used to come on to me... We were counselors in the same Girl Scout camp. in the beginning, I ignored it... but later on I had to say something. So I brought it up and we had a heart to heart talk about it. I asked her what she found in me that was attractive, and she said, "You're very caring, like a mom." This girl didn't have a good relationship with her mom, and she desperately wanted to feel loved and cared for by a woman, and so she tried to satisfy her desire for intimacy through homosexuality. I told her that God can satisfy this desire way better than any woman can and showed her how to pray the rosary. I didn't hear from her for awhile, but last fall she wrote to me saying that she is going to church again and that she has abandoned her lesbian lifestyle. Praise God!

I don't think hitting a gay man without a good reason (i.e. because he was a threat to your health and safety) is treating him like a man, but more like something below a man. What better man is there to imitate than Christ Himself?

57 - Homophobic.

If "phobic" is "fear of" and "homo" means "homosexuality", I agree. I fear all sins, be it chronic lying, stealing, addiction to porn, racism, drugs, etc. I am uncomfortable with anyone suffering these disorders. I would be very concerned about their well being.

My score would depend on what the quiz means about the term "homosexuality" -- if they are talking about the inclination itself, or the act. :idontknow:

My score rates me as "non-homophobic." However, there are many moments when I unvoluntarilly feel homophobic....hmm
