Did Jesus have a sense of humor?

A lot of answers to prayer are done in a rather amusing manner. It could just be certain Saints displaying their humor though. St. Anthony seems to have a ball making things turn up in the weirdest places.

hey, i saw this thread and thought id join and tell u something we learnt on a camp last year.

we got told that it is very possible that Jesus was a joker because many times, depending on what translation u are reading from, when talking to his disciples he told them "I tell you solemnly...", just so they wouldn't think he was joking.

I can't remember where, but there was passage where I think he was exorcising a demon and he told the crowd, "O ye of little faith, if you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could command that mountain to move and it would do so." in the previous chapter he was comparing the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed which is one of the smallest seeds. So technically he's saying that we have little faith, but if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, one of the smallest seeds, we could move mountains. :

I love the idea of Jesus having a sense of humor! He says 'Suffer the little children to come unto me...' - that could be slightly sarcastic - I've dealt with a few impatient toddlers (and been one, Lord knows) in my day, and when a little kid's irritated, they aren't the only ones 'suffering'!
But seriously, one of the best traits of my favorite teachers is their sense of humor. The gift of levity is a wonderful one. (Says the girl as she turns on 'Les Miserables.')

well, I don't think many ppl back then did too many "humorous" things or said things like that. I think he was definitly a happy man, in the passion of the christ Mel Gibson displayed him as splashing him mother with water and hugging her, playing with her in a humorous way. I think he wasn't too sarcastic, I mean, he was a grown man, but, I'm sure he wasn't a grumpy... kinda guy. You know what I mean? lol, and the ppl who wrote scripter might have kept it all down to the laws of the church, I mean, what Christ taught them. And in stuff like the Revalations then that's what ppl witnessed I think
