Thy Geekdom Come

I'm learning SO much at Franciscan about the Scriptures...this is a chart I made based off something I learned in class.

[quote name='Sojourner' date='Jan 27 2006, 01:00 PM']Why are the fishes and birds under "space" rather than "life"?

I'm not really sure...but perhaps, at least with the fish, it explains why the Jews didn't consider them meat (and why we don't)...maybe they didn't consider them living...

Most birds were off limits too, if not all.
They were used as sacrifices.
Fish breathe air through the water.

How's that sound?

And btw, that was just an observation on my part. It isnt written anywhere....cept here (duh, obviously).

I was doing some studying on Hebrew dietary restrictions and I was reading that fish and birds are off limits for stuff. Cant remember anything specific unless Im forced to.
I do know that doves could be sacrificed, but not as a burnt offering. So the dove had to be living.
