HomeTeamFamily
yea i think id like to reiterate that point that it seems to me that the central idea wasnt that anyone can be possessed or whatever, but rather that evil exists, and is real (i think we can all attest to that). I know i struggle with evil on a daily basis, and the only hope to defeat it is through the Lord, a point that was driven home through the movie (the scene ILC mentioned, the end, the apparent belief of the defense attorney, etc) the point is that evil exists, but there is a higher power that can overcome it. it took emily rose to show that. i think her possession shows that she has amazing faith, faith that allowed her to continue being possessed when given the option to end it, so that the world may see the existence of evil. i have also heard and agree with the statement about evil attacking stronger those who are strong in faith. the explanation ive always used is that satan needs to try harder and harder to pull them away, but these individuals are more and more resistant to it
DemonSlayer
I thought The Exorcist: The Beginning was heaps better, especially the epilogue. Edited January 29, 2006 by DemonSlayer
