With the rolling ball or without? I have that exact pen on my desk, red for editing. My biggest problem with those pens is leakage. They write well, but they'll eventually leak.
dUSt
I love a good pen. The reality is that I wouldn't be able to keep track of an expensive or favorite pen for long. Therefore, I am very particular to two different pens which can be found at almost all stores that sell pens: If I need a felt tip, you can't beat the Sharpie ultra-thin: And my absolute favorite for writing on paper, the Pilot Precise:

My only beef is that they bleed through notebook paper on a regular basis... But if I don't need to write on the back, the Pilot V5 is my choice! Not too expensive to worry about losing it, but nice enough. I must agree though, they do tend to leak from time to time....

You can't tell by the picture but its got some weight to it! Also its curved and cushioned near the tip for a better grip. The thing writes like a champ!! Cow of Shame
I used it this morning during an interview, and the guy I was talking to just couldn't take his eyes off the XXX in my hand. I'm sure he too was marvelling at the ease with which I handled it. I've found my match, and I'm a happier woman for it.
I X'd out your dirty 'appliance'. I'm surprised the mods let you get away with such explicit posts such as this one.... I'm astonished at your brazenness.

shortnun
Here's a question -- is thickness or length more important? Personally, I don't like a pen that's too long or too thick. I like a pen that fits just right.
The consensus (and I agree) is that thickness is more important. I DON'T WANT A JUMBO MARKER. I would like a pen. I WOULD NOT LIKE A PAPERWEIGHT. I would like a normal weight pen. I will not write with a pencil unless it is mechanical. I will not ever use it. It will just sit on my desk. I will never write with black pens... EVER!!! Blue is better. (Actually, there is an exception to this. My checkbook pen is totally flat--nearly 2 dimensional--and it is black.) Anastasia13
Ball point or gel ink. I'm a left so I don't care to mess with caligraphy pen-type tips while taking notes in class. I don't like the way that felt tip had friction against the paper. This is the same reason that I like writing with mechanical pencils over wooden, sadly. I'd say most women would find my pen is quite nice to hold and fits snugly. (just as long as it does not burst and make a mess over everything.) (Oh, come on, this is about INK PENS for crying out loud! If you read anything into this, you're a FILTHY, DISGUSTING, DIRTY PERVERT!)
