How do You Like Your Pens?

Jaime

Recommended Posts

A friend was gushing today about a new pen and how wonderful it was. She loves her pen.

I think pens are underrated today. Most people feel that any pen will do in a storm. They don't seem to take the time to seek out a pen thats best suited for them.

Some would say that the internet has done away with the importance of the pen. It has made it almost unnecessary in today's society.

I take a certain amount of pride in my pen. Its balanced and feels comfortable in my hand. No plastic either. I never use a plastic pen

What say you pham?

Ora et Labora

I prefer pencils, the regular wooden ones, not the fancy mechanical ones. As far as pens go I prefer roller balls to ball points.

I like the regular white BIC pen with the black cap. Small and sturdy without being cheap. Gets the job done.

Definitely gel pens. A good pen has decent ink, it doesn't smug, the line isn't too thick or thin, and it has a smooth line that doesn't 'stop writing'

What I like in a pen:(in order of importance)
-writes smoothly (I love it when they glide along the page so easily!)
-doesn't bleed through to the other side of the paper
-creates a solid line
-feels nice in my hand

The first two are very hard to find together. Since I'm so picky, I've also been known to make due with whatever I happen to find laying around the house... ^_^

My dad got this pen catolague and there were pens in there that cost 1,000 dollars. Now, that is insane!

Must write smoothly, and not slip in my hand.

I wrote a LOT of papers in College, being an English major will do that. And, while there were defnitely computers around, basically, they stunk, and I didn't have one. I hand wrote a lot of papers for before producing the final copy with *gasp* a typewriter.

I have an affinity for pens. :P:

I love office supply stores. Back to school season just sends me into a tizzy.

being a poet pens actually matter to me, i would use pencil but the they break, i only use that for drawing important stuff.
There are some pens i enjoy using but would never use to write poems. dont know what kind but they have a tendency to trail ink, like when you go on to your next word it leaves a trail. And then there are those pens that have heavy ink that pratically bleeds through paper so you cant write on the back, i just dont like those any time
simple bic ball points that cost the less are good pens though

oh yea, if it makes a scratching sound NOOOOO! you may not hear it but i can its really annoying

Do people prefer their pens with caps or not?

I personally think that the uncapped is more attractive and looks more professional

for notes in class, I use regular Bics. But, when I sign any important document, I break out the special pen my dad gave me. It's heavy and there's no plastic in it. I think it's got gold on it too. I figure, if I am going to sign my life away I'd better do it in style.

I never use capped pens, normally if I have them, I'd normally lose the caps pretty soon, I prefer retractable pens.
