catholicinsd
Now that we've gotten that outta the way, shall we pray that prayer? O Divine Fetus Jesus, in the Immaculate Womb of Mother Mary, we ask that You send down Your Spirit to aid in the cause of Life. Amen.

sraf
Fetus Jesus? ... A martyr, literally meaning 'witness,' means one who chooses to die to witness their faith in Catholicism or whatever their religion might be. Aborted babies are, to put it coldly, in the wrong place at the wrong time. I would say send an invocation up with the Holy Innocents, whom we revere - what is it, December 26th or 27th? There's another famous case of 'wrong place, wrong time.' I would say rather pray for anyone who chooses to have an abortion for whatever reason. It seems clear that they need prayers a lot more than a wee little baby that hasn't anything on its conscience. O Mary, chosen to be Our Mother from the moment of your pure conception, pray for the lowly, the poor, those seeking abortions, those who do not know to turn their face to you to see your shining example. dustthouart
I think you guys are overreacting. We often represent Jesus as a child in art, we even refer to St. Therese of the Child Jesus, so why not Jesus as a fetus? He was still God when he was within Mary. I know it sounds weird at first, but I think it's a great idea. If I could draw or paint or something, I would make a painting of Jesus and Mary with Jesus blessing us from within her womb. That would be awesome. Although the unborn are not martyrs, as others have noted, although they are certainly victims. And the unborn truly need our prayers, for God has not chosen to reveal to us what happens to babies who die unbaptized. We trust in his infinite Grace and Mercy.
And it just seems too scientific or something. can't it just be "unborn Jesus"? Or "Jesus unborn"?
